SHOT BLASTING
Here at Precision Surface Preparation, we utilize the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly method of shot blasting for preparing concrete. Whether you are a contractor or building owner/manager, you know that the best appearance and adhesion of the finished concrete floor surface depends upon proper preparation with shot blasting. PSP’s use of state-of-the-art equipment and experienced operators ensures that we provide a surface profile to your exact specifications in the shortest time possible, making our shot blasting service the most cost effective for your project.
State-of-the-Art Shot Blasting Machines
We use the best shotblasting equipment available, exclusively using BLASTRAC 1-15DSMKIII 15-inch Blast heads (steel-shot blasting machines) to produce an even profile with one-third less passes than the 8-10 inch machines many shot blasting contractors use. This translates to time and cost savings for your project.
Premium Shot Blasting Capacity
- For Brush Blasting (shot blasting of a new concrete floor), we typically cover 15,000 - 30,000 sq. ft. per day
- For an existing concrete floor, capacity could vary. To get an accurate estimate of the the timeframe needed to complete your project, contact Precision Surface Preparation.
Whether your concrete floor surface is rough and eroded or brand new, we can provide the professional result you need to complete your project. Various floor coatings and moisture will impact the speed of the shot blasting job and thus reduce the capacity.
The Advantage of Shot Blasting for Your Project
Shot blasting will not only condense your project's timeline, but it leaves your concrete surface dry and chemical-free and does not release airborne dust or contaminants into the work space. This makes it ideal for work in 24-hour uninterrupted facilities. Because shot blasting is a dry process, it allows for immediate application of floor coatings. This helps to shorten your flooring installation time, saving you time on your project.
