CONCRETE FLOOR GRINDING MACHINE

When Precision Surface Preparation does the job of preparing your concrete floors for final coating, we will use a concrete grinding machine if/when it is indicated to achieve a surface profile that exactly meets your specifications.
Our state-of-the-art concrete grinding equipment operates at a low noise level and leaves no linear or circular tracks.
How Does a Diamond Grinding Machine Work?
The concrete floor grinding machine can be used to prepare a concrete floor that has an existing floor coating to be able to accept a re-coating. This is done by attaching various-sized grit sanding pads to the grinding machine to texturize the coated surface to bond to the new floor coating. Depending upon the grit used, this same equipment can be used to polish a concrete floor as well.
The walk-behind concrete floor grinding machine as several counter-rotating blades and a pulse vacuum system; and, while it is slower than shot blasting, this type of diamond grinding machine can produce a finer, smoother result, depending upon the abrasives used.
About Our Walk-Behind Diamond Grinding Machine
PSP uses a 30" diameter machine, producing a 30" scratch pattern. Our walk-behind diamond grinding machines come from Substrate Technology. They are gear driven, not belt-driven, thus more dependable. Our machine weighs in at 1100 pounds -- heavier and thus more productive than the average concrete grinding equipment used by others in our industry.
About our Hand Grinding Machines
For edging and detail work, we use 7" diamond cut wheels and 4" grinders. These machines, like the walk-behind unit, are shrouded and connected to a vacuum system to keep the workspace free of dust and other debris particles.
